Our Philosophy

Design for the Elements.

Kindred Camping was born from a simple realization: the market was flooded with disposable gear, but families needed architectural resilience.

In 2018, we started Kindred with a focus on the structural integrity of family-scale shelters. We saw too many trips cut short by snapped fiberglass poles and leaking seams. We decided to bring expedition-grade materials to the family campground.

The Kindred Standard

Every shelter in our collection must pass the "7-Day Solitude Test." This means it can withstand a week of high mountain winds, torrential rain, and the chaotic energy of three children without losing its structural tension. We use 150D ripstop polyester and DAC aluminum poles as our baseline—not our upgrade.

We aren't interested in being the biggest outdoor brand. We're interested in being the one you pass down to your children when they start their own family traditions.
